Job Description

Location: Hybrid New York ONSITE (3-4 days onsite)

Hourly Rate: Up to $48/hour (DOE)

Duration: Ongoing (12+ Months)

The Planet Group's New York based Law Firm is seeking a temporary Graphic Designer with 3+ years of experience working in a corporate design role, onsite 2 day/week ongoing.

The ideal Graphic Designer requires a solid understanding of design theory fundamentals in order to adapt content per established branding standards and templates.

Graphic Design Responsibilities:

• Provides hands-on design and production work for corporate collateral using the full suite of Adobe software, as well as Word, PPT, Visio and new media.
• Collaborates with a diverse group of department clients on design objectives, adapting communication style accordingly and demonstrating understanding of project scope including purpose, components, target audience, medium, stakeholders and turnaround time.
• Works effectively as part of a team towards meeting design, production and operational goals as directed by the Sr. Graphics Manager.

Graphic Design Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in advertising design, graphic design, visual design or communications design preferred.
• Hands-on experience across media: print, web and evolving new media in a PC environment
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of both traditional and digital print production requirements, and ability to interface with printing professionals
• Expertise in technical file requirements of new media (web, e-mail, interactive) and ability to interact with IT
• Expert proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash and Fireworks
• Expert proficiency in PowerPoint, Visio and Word
• Excellent communication (oral, written and visual) and presentation skills
• Proficiency in CSS, HTML and Action Scripts/ J Query, Java Script preferred
• Proficiency in video editing/production and relevant software (After Effects, Final Cut, etc.) preferred
• Studio-quality portrait-retouching skills preferred
• Availability for evening and weekend overtime work
