This Network Operations Sr role is in the Enterprise Operations & Technology of the IT Division at Freddie Mac. The Network Security Operations Senior is responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing of network and network security infrastructure, voice infrastructure and application components.

- Responsible for 24x7 Network Operations and network security activities.
- Coordinates activities with other system areas and vendors, and deals with Network Data, Network security and Voice systems planning, upgrading, monitoring, testing, and servicing.
- Provides network security systems administration support to users for Palo firewalls, Zscaler, F5 LB, Arista, Cisco switches, routers, and ASA, Infoblox IPAM.
- Provide resolutions to an extensive range of complicated network incident problems.
- Write technical documentation, operational procedures, systems documentation, Incident and problem communications and reporting.
- Protect production by exercising sound judgment and following operational practices and procedures.
- Quickly restore service during system outages, provide troubleshooting support to team. members, perform proactive problem prevention, taking technical lead and work with vendor support.

- Checking status of environments and individual tools.

- Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative technical solutions and strategies.
- Continually defines ways to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 8 years of relevant experience in IT Network Operations and Engineering.
- Engaged with IP network technologies including LAN switching, BGP/OSPF routing, VPLS/MPLS IS-IS, EVPN, VXLAN, MPLS, and segment routing, Quality of Service, traffic engineering, server load balancing and network-security design and delivery for large scale multi-site data center environments
- Understand High Availability and Disaster Recovery concepts as apply to Network and Security Operations.
- Experience with the design, configuration, implementation and troubleshooting of Cisco IOS and Cisco Nexus Switches and Routers, Cisco Next Gen Wireless, Cisco ASA VPN, & F5 Networks LTM/GTM, Firewall, Cisco Identity Service Engine, Sourcefire IDS/IPS, Proxy Experience with NTP, RADIUS/TACACS+, DNS and DHCP infrastructure design.
- Experience with WAF and Proxy Technologies.
- Familiarity with high-performance campus networking architectures (leaf-spine, SD-Access, fabric-based designs).
- Exposure to multi-vendor environments, integrating Arista with Cisco, Palo Alto, etc.
- Aruba – Controller, Airwave, Central
- Cisco WLC, DNACenter/Catalyst Center
- Excellent knowledge and experience with IP network technologies including LAN switching, BGP/OSPF routing, VPLS/MPLS, Quality of Service, traffic engineering, server load balancing and network-security.
- Excellent knowledge implementation and troubleshooting of Cisco IOS and Cisco Nexus Switches and Routers, Cisco Next Gen Wireless, Cisco ASA VPN, & F5 Networks LTM/GTM, Palo Firewall, Cisco Identity Service Engine, Global Protect, Zscaler, Cloudflare, Infoblox, Arista.
- Knowledge on Thousand Eyes, NetBrain.
- Identify, analyze, fix, and determine root cause, follow-up, and coordinate changes to resolve complex problems involving hardware, software, networking and applications.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $113,000 - $169,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
