Responsibilities
- Actively monitor security alerts and respond to events in real-time to minimize potential threats
- Conduct thorough investigations of security alerts and provide detailed documentation in the case management platform on findings
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement effective threat hunting, incident investigation and response strategies
- Develop and maintain incident response procedures, ensuring they are up to date with emerging threats
- Perform root cause analysis of incidents and recommend improvements to prevent future occurrences
- Maintain awareness of the latest cybersecurity trends and threat intelligence to enhance response capabilities
- Provide expert guidance on security best practices and incident prevention techniques
- Demonstrate ability to work in high stress situations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience
- Preferred Cybersecurity certifications: GIAC, Certified Ethical Hacker [CEH], CompTIA CYSA, Security+ or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field
- Solid understanding of the external threat landscape and adversary tactics & techniques
- Knowledge of incident management techniques throughout the incident lifecycle: assessment, containment, restoration, documentation, evidence preservation, and forensics
- Knowledge of malware detection and analysis, and ability to reverse engineer malware code
- Knowledge of information security best practices and technology risk management disciplines and technologies
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and laws
- Knowledge and understanding of diverse platforms and operating systems, including current and emerging technologies
- Ability to obtain, analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources
- Ability to deliver swift response and action-oriented skills
- Analytical mindset, focused on results with critical thinking, research and problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to implement and communicate actionable insights to streamline processes/transactions
- Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative
- Ability to manage competing priorities on concurrent large, complex projects, initiatives, and deliverables
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong technical proficiency in the use of MS Office including Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
