Description of Work

This position will manage NAA-operated facilities as we host events such as conferences, receptions, weddings, banquets, and business meetings. The successful candidate will work directly with vendors and rental clients to ensure all event staffing/venue needs are met, provide outstanding customer service, and help set the plan for the operations of each event. This includes pre-event communications with the rental client, setup and teardown of event space, and operating/troubleshooting presentation technology. Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays during scheduled events, plus Husker Football game days.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, hospitality management or related field plus one year of experience in event or hospitality management required; equivalent education/experience considered. Demonstrated excellent communications and customer service skills necessary. Must have demonstrated ability to oversee all aspects of NAA events, including the anticipation of issues, troubleshooting building audio-visual and/or event challenges as they occur. Must have client relations and/or sales background and practical teamwork experience. Proficiency in Microsoft applications and ability to read and understand financial and bidding documents essential. Experience must demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Management experience, marketing/sales background preferred.
