IFRS17 Reporting:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the following IFRS17 tasks:

  • To perform and able to explain the key drivers for IFRS17 Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting work within the agreed timeline.
  • To review and optimize the Budgeting and Forecasting process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. Strengthen control to prevent process reruns.
  • To perform IFRS17 financial impact assessment for annual assumption review, expense study and etc.
  • To ensure IFRS17 Reports are produced with accurate results and to provide day-to day technical and managerial guidance to the Actuarial workstream.
  • To lead the local implementation of IFRS17 solution enhancements/Day 2 items and actuarial model enhancement, collaborating with group office and local actuarial modelling team.
  • To support on other projects e.g. actuarial related components for BNM Insurance and Takaful System Redevelopment (ITSR) and etc.
  • To ensure proper SOP documentation.
  • To build the capacity and experience of the team through training of junior team members.

Entry Qualification and Experience:

Relevant work experience in the Life / Takaful industry (minimum of 8 years is expected)

Good progress on actuarial exams

Proficient in using Prophet, Microsoft Excel

Proficient in English

Able to work independently
