SUMMARY OF JOB

Sr Application Systems Analyst role leads design of complex systems needs of staff and operating departments. Interviews users to determine in depth clinical information needs, current workflow and sources of required data. Leads Development, tests, and modifies complex internal applications systems. Serves as subject matter expert on system selection team. Performs complex analysis and troubleshooting for various clinical and financial applications. Provides options to end users for workflow improvement through leveraging technology. Mentoring IT application analysts.

The Sr Application Systems Analyst will participate in Acute Care and ASC systems selection, design, development, testing, enhancement, maintenance, documentation, and ongoing support of systems that support business needs and patient care processes. These systems include exclusively PACS, RIS, Cardiology systems. As well as Powerscribe and Dragon. Participates in evaluation, selection and implementation of new technologies. Follows technical standards for development, testing, change management and documentation. Practices continuous quality improvement and serves as support resource for IT Projects and teams throughout the enterprise.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS

• 4-5 years of relevant work experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Proven abilities as IT subject matter expert and a track record of developing and implementing Clinical, financial software and interoperability that provides value to the customer base.
• Must have ability to exercise independent judgment in planning, organizing, and performing systems analyst tasks.
• Independent judgment required in setting task priority among several assigned projects. Must have ability to communicate, motivate, and organized projects among a broad spectrum of personnel throughout the network, frequently under deadline pressure.
• Proven abilities to work on IT teams.
• Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the IT, user, and vendor community.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Acute Care Application Systems. Systems include RIS/PACs, Cardiology. Systems could include HIM CDI, coding, and record archive modules, various supporting ancillary systems such as OB, OR, Cardio-Pulmonary systems, dietary, and hospital EMRs
• Ensures the implementation and daily operation of all computer applications contained within the scope of responsibility.
• Must be able to travel between facilities as needed.
