As a Digital Director, you will be the day-to-day strategic leader and point of contact for multiple clients, with the ability to seamlessly bridge the gap between high-level strategy and execution. You will take ownership of developing and implementing omnichannel digital strategies across CRM, email, web, search, and other platforms.
While the Digital Director will have a deep understanding of all things digital and omnichannel, the role goes beyond execution – the Digital Director guides and mentors junior staff, builds client relationships, and supports the development of the Digital team. The Digital Director is expected to effectively manage a team and deliver results while also thinking strategically about new business growth, capabilities development, and adapting to the changing omnichannel landscape.
This is a remote position reporting to the Senior Vice President, Digital Strategy.
You will:
Client Partnerships
- Lead and manage client relationships with a high level of professionalism and strategic prowess, acting as the main day-to-day strategic point of contact and a thought partner for client teams
- Develop and manage the execution of omnichannel strategies, ensuring alignment with client business goals and KPIs as well as alignment to agency objectives
- Lead the integration of AI-powered content generation, predictive analytics, and automation tools to optimize omnichannel communications efforts
Leadership and Teamwork
- Lead, mentor, and develop digital team members, fostering a learning environment through training, feedback, and mentorship
- Serve as an emerging thought leader within the agency and in the broader industry, representing the agency at digital events, conferences, and networking opportunities
- Serve as a change agent internally and with partners and clients – leading the way in best practice digital communications, problem-solving, coaching and building buy-in and consensus for innovative approaches
Effective Communication
- Be point of contact in internal and client-facing meetings to share expertise, offer strategic counsel, and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams
- Have mastery knowledge of healthcare industry, our clients and the sectors they work in and maintenance of knowledge and capabilities of the broader digital and omnichannel environment and tool
- Demonstrate exceptional listening skills, with ability to apply conversation insights to broader strategic objectives of the Digital team and adapt based on new direction
Business Development
- Take ownership of organic growth within existing accounts, proactively identifying new opportunities
- Support the preparation and execution of new business pitches, leveraging digital expertise to drive agency growth
- Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the future of the agency’s digital offerings, identifying gaps and new trends to stay ahead
You will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, marketing, strategy, business, or a related field or equivalent experience
- 7-10 years’ experience with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience within a similar digital communications or digital or omnichannel marketing role
- At least 4 years experience leading and managing digital projects and campaigns across multiple channels (web, social media, email, search, etc.)
- Proven expertise in digital strategy, SEO, SEM, CRM, CMS, email marketing, social media, and/or UX/UI principles
- High proficiency in designing and executing digital marketing strategies using tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, Salesforce, Adobe Campaign, and others
- Strong experience with UX/UI and digital design thinking methodologies, including collaboration with design teams to implement user-centric solutions
- Deep understanding of web metrics, digital analytics, with the ability to generate, analyze and interpret data
- Working knowledge of AI LLMs, AI prompt engineering, and, proficiency, or at least knowledge of, workflow automation
- Strong experience in digital solution architecture
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex strategies to both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with digital project management, including scope, budgets, and timelines
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor junior staff, and manage client relationships effectively
- Solid experience in content strategy, digital storytelling, and paid/owned/earned media strategies
- Ability to analyze and synthesize digital data to provide actionable insights and drive strategy
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong knowledge of key industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, FDA, ABPI) as they pertain to data analytics and healthcare communications
- Proactive, entrepreneurial, and solution-oriented mindset

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set, geographic location, and cost of living considerations. We consider compensation more than just a base salary – that’s why we also offer an exceptional range of flexible benefits, personal support and tailored learning and development opportunities all designed to help you realize your full potential both in life and at work.
Compensation
$110,000—$125,000 USD
