About the Role

As a Workshop Technician at NOV Downhole Broadband Solutions, you will maintain and service advanced downhole tools and sensor technology. You’ll execute maintenance tasks in accordance with defined procedures and safety standards, ensuring our tools are production-ready and customer expectations are exceeded. This hands-on role supports the division’s commitment to innovation and performance, operating both independently and within a collaborative workshop team.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute tasks according to our company’s procedures and safety standards.
• Ensure assets are serviced on time, maximizing efficiency and meeting production schedules with precision.
• Maintain and service our fleet of downhole tools, including general workshop tasks, repairs, troubleshooting, and calibration of electronics and sensors.
• Keep your workspace clean and organized by following 5S principles.
• Contribute to a positive work environment and drive continuous improvement.
• Work independently or as part of a team, offering support where needed.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential Qualifications:

• Vocational or technical training in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Automation
• Experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting within a technical or industrial setting
• Proficient in electronics diagnostics and problem-solving
• Strong communication skills in English and Norwegian
• Competency with Microsoft Office tools

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Drilling & Completion processes
• Valid certifications: Forklift (T2, T4), Overhead Crane (G4)
