About the Opportunity
Business Operations Analyst Sr are the people responsible for evaluating data to develop reports and visualizations that identify trends or analytics that help companies make better-informed business decisions. They are comfortable working with data and data structures, performing analytics, building appropriate visualizations, and drawing conclusions based on empirical evidence. They are good communicators who can translate their findings into business-friendly language. Business Operations Analyst Sr focus on “What is the data telling me today or in the past?”
As a member of the Strategy, Product & Technology (SP&T) team, the Business Operations Analyst Sr helps us drive product quality and operational efficiency by providing metrics and trends that allow our leaders to make data-driven decisions.
What you will get to do
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive one-stop, self-serve dashboards using PowerBI to support decision-making.
- Act as data SME (Subject Matter Expert) and understand data requirements, definitions, sources and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)/OKRs (objectives and key results) to enable reporting and analytics.
- Work collaboratively to align business requirements with data and analytical solutions, while empowering SP&T leaders to draw insights and analyze data.
- Develop and manage intricate, reusable data flows within Power BI, ensuring standardized and reliable data sources.
- Integrate data from multiple sources and transform it for analysis and visualization in Power BI, including building data models, implementing custom calculations, etc.
- Coordinate with internal data architects, data governance and enablement teams to ensure data quality, compliance, and efficacy.
- Create documentation, as needed, e.g. requirements document, process flow, etc.
- Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on data issues
- Regularly review and refine data processes and practices, aiming for heightened efficiency and accuracy in reporting and dashboarding.
- Support leadership driven programs and initiatives, as needed. Examples include helping with the analysis of the outcomes of the Customer User Acceptance Testing program during peak periods, or analysis of engineering activities during the software development lifecycle.
Skills and experience we value
- A bachelor's degree in information systems, engineering, business or equivalent degree and experience
- 3-5 years of related experience in a similar role
- Communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills

- Ability to work collaboratively across the company in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment
- Ability to interpret statistics and express complex concepts in business terms
- Strong expertise in designing and maintaining PowerBI reports and dashboards, with skills in handling complex data flows
- Expertise in data visualization design, and a track record of creating informative and user-friendly dashboards
- Understanding of data modeling and database structures, proficiency in SQL
- Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Software development experience is a plus
- Familiarity with Agile SDLC processes and best practices around software development KPIs is a plus
- Experience with data platforms other than PowerBI is a plus
