The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is an internal HR consultant focused on supporting strong organizational performance. This role involves coaching, mentoring, and partnering with organizational leaders to align departmental practices with overall business goals while helping leaders effectively utilize existing HR solutions. The HRBP provides informed insights into strategic planning processes and leverages expertise in key HR functions such as staffing, compensation, benefits, training, and employee relations. As both an employee advocate and change agent, the HRBP works closely with Talent Management, Total Rewards, and HR Operations to support leaders in implementing tailored HR solutions.
Job Description:
What you will do
- Provide guidance on effective utilization of HR tools and solutions, ensuring leaders can implement them effectively within their teams.
- Coach and mentor leaders to strengthen leadership capabilities, improve team performance, and enhance employee engagement.
- Act as a change agent by supporting leaders and teams through organizational changes, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with strategic goals.
- Advise leaders on HR-related topics, including staffing, compensation, benefits, training, performance management, and workforce planning.
- Leverage HR data and analytics to provide insights and recommendations for decision-making and process improvements.
- Ensure organizational compliance with labor laws, company policies, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Act as a liaison between organizational leaders and HR teams to ensure alignment of services and delivery of HR solutions. Partner with HR functional areas, including Talent Management, Total Rewards, and HR Operations, to provide seamless HR support to the organization.
- Promote a positive workplace culture by identifying and addressing trends impacting morale and productivity.
- Partner with the Employee Relations Specialist to address employee issues, including conducting investigations, resolving conflicts, and ensuring consistency in policy application.
- Collaborate with organizational leaders to align business objectives with people strategies, ensuring departmental practices support overall organizational goals. Act as a consultant to leadership providing insights and recommendations on workforce strategies, talent management, and organizational effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field Preferred
- Four (4) years of human resources experience Preferred
- Understanding of HR functions, including staffing, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, and performance management
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII, NLRA) and their application in unionized and non-unionized settings
- Understanding of organizational design, workforce planning, and change management principles.
- Knowledge of strategies to support employee engagement and improve workplace culture.
- Strong coaching skills to guide leaders in addressing performance, engagement, and team dynamics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex HR topics clearly and concisely.
- Skilled at facilitating difficult conversations and resolving conflicts.
- Ability to influence without direct authority and build consensus among leaders and employees.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- High level of self-awareness, empathy, and interpersonal sensitivity to handle employee issues with tact and professionalism.
- Commitment to handling sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
- Ability to see the big picture and align HR strategies with organizational goals.
