As our Senior Manager in the commercial department within Taste, Texture and Health (TTH) IMA, you will hold responsibility and will manage the commercial aspects of the legacy-DNP part of TTH business (legacy HNH scope) within the agreed IMA TTH sales/marketing strategy and budget.
You will own the E2E Premix Performance managing of all commercial aspects and business management activities around nutrient-premixes, working closely across functions including Sales, Operations, Procurement, Formulation and Quality across the Indian Subcontinent, Middle East, Africa & Turkey regions.
You will contribute to the shaping of the Premix growth strategy. Growing the Premix business profitably across segments.
Your key responsibilities:
IMA ISOL Commercial Management
- Translate global pricing strategy to a regional Industry level and ensure implementation across the IMA region for both straights & premix
- Realize the sales objectives of ISOL TTH through provision of direction, guidance and coaching regarding commercial targets, pricing strategy, supply situation and market overview with the IMA sales teams
- Manage and monitor the supply chain and inventory levels to ensure availability and when necessary, take responsibility for regional allocation decisions
- Provide accurate and insightful reporting to IMA ISOL Sales Directors, IMA Strategic Transformation Director & Global Commercial Director
- Manage interfaces with Global Commercial Management, Product Management, Premix organization, Logistics, Customer Services, Finance, QA and SHE and maintain interface with HNC Regional COO & Commercial team
- Manage & lead the regional Demand Planner
- Drive commercial excellence
- Accountability of regional demand signal for monthly IBP cycle, RAF & budget
- Support sales team on customer visits and negotiations as needed
IMA ISOL Premix Business Management. Steer for Growth and Drive Regional Premix Strategy
- Understanding PMX segments strategy, must win projects and enablers for success
- Design Way of Working across functions around Premix project management
- Work closely with procurement to optimize raw material sourcing. Optimize Premix costs, while meeting customer requirements
- Optimize factory capacity utilization
- Work with sales and operations team to make sure that optimal utilization of assets is linked to tender opportunities
- Support the Premix Operations Director with the ‘S&OP industry reconciliation’
- Represent IMA in IR/LORM global meeting
Manage all commercial aspects around Premix pricing and contracting
- Managing TTH ISOL Premix pricing
- Track sales development vs. contracted business
- Regularly share market insights and competitor insights – learnings from contracts won/lost and competition participation in tenders
- Agree Premix pricing with account managers and support in bidding / negotiation process
- Be responsible for translating global strategy into regional objectives (i.e. product changes)
- Work with Global Commercial to ensure regional pricing policy is in line with global & regional plans
- Be our responsible person for all approvals of price quotations (regional approver level)
Interact with account managers and work across functions with sales, Premix operations & formulation, global teams, procurement, finance & supply chain
- Manage switching/reformulations of Premixes using dsm-vitamins to 3rd Party-vitamins (and other way around) together with Premix Formulation
- Drive the execution of the global commercial guidance with sales, Premix operations & formulation
- Cooperate with Premix operations, act as coordinator between business needs and operational needs (volume vs. price)
- Engage with customers on long-term supply agreements

You bring:
- 7 years+ of Commercial, Sales and /or Product Management experience including product strategy and portfolio knowledge; Marketing experience is a very strong advantage
- University or higher level of education in Chemistry/Food technology or Business Administration with knowledge/understanding of market dynamics of Nutrition Ingredients industry
- Understanding of marketing-mix strategies and the dynamics of price/volume characteristics of a highly competitive market
- Assertive, strong decision maker with demonstrated leadership and people management skills
- Experience of advising and working internationally and with multinational/ multicultural teams
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively able to translate complex topics into simple persuasive opinions
