The Opportunity

• The purpose of a Facilities Mechanic I position is to perform basic tasks and repairs within the fulfillment center including work on conveyors, PIT equipment, and general building maintenance. This requires a basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. You will assist all other Facilities Mechanics with more complex maintenance responsibilities. Additional responsibilities include participating in 5S organization and cleaning activities.
• You will report directly to Maintenance Area Manager onsite at our Piney Flats, TN location

The services the department provides range from building maintenance, AV Setup/Installation, guest registration, badges/parking permits, space planning/moves, drawing requests and design, large-scale projects, and café/catering services.

Your Impact

• Perform and facilitate general facility repairs
• Equipment Maintenance – Perform planned and unplanned repairs, and preventative maintenance to production-related equipment
• Detect and inform team leaders of potential problems so that resolutions are performed before they affect the operation of the facility

What You Bring

• Comprehend technical manuals
• High School graduate or equivalent
• Trade skills
• 6+ months experience with mechanical and electrical systems
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Prefer working knowledge of voltage meter and AC/DC systems
