Nucor Steel - Nebraska is seeking applicants for the position of Rolling Mill Shift Supervisor. The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, developing and executing a safety plan for the crew; organizing, prioritizing, assigning job tasks for the shift on a daily basis; and coordinating activities with maintenance, melt shop and shipping. The Rolling Supervisor is responsible for motivating people, defining expectations, and making sure that the expectations are met. This position is responsible for communicating the goals of the department, the plant and developing a plan for the crew to achieve them. Must be willing to actively participate in meetings and activities before, during and after regularly scheduled work hours. Candidate must be able to work rotating shifts and scheduled/unscheduled overtime, including nights, weekends and holidays. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Steel Nebraska will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).
