Job Summary

We are seeking a Program Manager to support our Cyber Business Line within our National Security Business Unit. This position will primarily work in Chantilly, VA. Travel to the Pentagon, Columbus OH, Ft. Meade, and/or other Customer locations may be necessary based on program and/or customer needs. This position reports to the Division Manager, Enterprise Assurance. This position is contingent upon program award.

As a member of Battelle’s Cyber Business Line, you’ll bridge engineering and business principles to run technically complex projects with multiple competing priorities. This includes building trusted relationships with our customers and mission partners, collaborating with them to define requirements, set program priorities, and shape the strategic vision for the program. You’ll work closely with engineering leads to ensure high-quality, mission-relevant deliverables, and Division Managers to drive innovation.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining Project Management Plans
• Planning, execution, and closing of on-site assessments and mitigations; lead team and manage priorities and daily activities
• Collaborate with various internal (Battelle) and external offices (e.g., Sponsor, network/system owners, site personnel), to facilitate satisfying personnel, logistics, and operations requirements
• Implementing change management and supporting quality control and safety processes
• Overseeing program metrics for customer and corporate requirements
• Supporting and shaping customer strategic initiatives
• Recruiting, selecting, and mentoring project, technical and task leads
• Supporting the Cyber business line planning processes
• Communicating with diverse audiences including customers and clients, senior management, scientists, academia, and the community

Key Qualifications

You know how to motivate staff and teammates as well as thrive in a fast-paced, cross-discipline, collaborative environment while meeting the following minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field (EE, CS, CE, Math, Physics)
• At least 8 years of experience demonstrating progressive responsibility in program management or technical management; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.
• Expertise in technology development, cyber, R&D, and/or digital technology transformation.
• Proven ability to take complex technical and scientific concepts and turn them into clear and concise verbal and written forms.
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written and with all levels of management.
• Ability to speak to customers at varying levels of technical knowledge and explain mission value of products and services.
• Ability to work individually as well as in small fast-paced team environments.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Candidates must be eligible to hold a TS clearance with SCI eligibility

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or higher, preferably in technical discipline or similar professional experience.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Strong knowledge of Cyber concepts, technologies, operations, and use cases, specifically utilizing new or cutting-edge cyber technology in federal agencies.
• Military or Federal operational, budgetary, or contracting experience.
• Holds an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
