We are looking for a Project Engineering Manager, to be hired with a permanent contract in Milan within the Electrification and Automation area.

Your Challenge

As a Project Engineering Manager, your mission will be to independently manage small projects or collaborate with the Project Manager on larger, more complex initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supervision of engineering activities: Oversee projects for MV SWGRs for a global business unit that focuses on electrical substations, PV plants, and energy storage systems.
  • Technical development and implementation: Develop material specifications, wiring diagrams preparation and follow-up to ensure proper and effective implementation.
  • Project monitoring: Follow up on assigned projects from handover, through fabrication, testing, up to customer delivery.
  • Support during installation and commissioning: Perform follow-up of site installation and actively participate in the plant commissioning phase.

To be a perfect fit for this role, you would already have:

  • Knowledge in electrotechnical specialization and multiple disciplines.
  • 3+ years of experience in the field, demonstrating key responsibilities and knowledge.
  • Good knowledge of MV switchgear technology with protection and control systems.
  • Technical High School Diploma or Engineering University Degree (Electrical background preferred).
  • Collaboration with Supply Chain for vendor documentation, bids, proposals, materials, and equipment.
  • Good organizational skills to manage multiple inquiries in a timely and professional manner, with attention to detail and strong time and task management.
  • Availability to travel to Siemens and third-party factories for factory acceptance tests.
  • Passion to never-stop growing
  • Respect and appreciation of each person’s uniqueness, willingness to co create and share knowledge
  • Proficiency in English and Italian
  • Eligibility to work in Italy
