IT DIRECTOR – Strategy, Portfolio and Performance
This is a senior position that is responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the IT organization, driving performance management practices and overseeing Analog’s IT investment portfolio. The role ensures IT strategies are aligned with business goals, investment decisions to deliver measurable value. The role will also work across key IT leaders and strategic partners to deliver against performance metrics and continuous improvements.
The leader will oversee cross-functional strategic program oversight for the enterprise and assure consistent management routines for portfolio and investment review, strategy refresh and performance management reviews. This role will also be key enabler for IT transformation management.
The individual will collaborate with business strategy leaders and work across the IT leadership in a matrixed and collaborative fashion to achieve their objectives. This role will need to be able to operate within a high level of ambiguity, work across the organization under pressure and help establish structure and focus.
What You’ll Do:
IT Strategy and Planning. Partner with CIO and Business leaders to define and evolve enterprise IT strategy. Work across Business and IT leaders to translate strategic priorities into actionable multi-year IT roadmaps. Conduct technology trend analysis and competitive benchmark to inform strategic planning. Directly responsible to work with IT leadership and develop IT transformation plan to rationalize legacy technology and coordinating across IT to drive strategic initiatives related to Cloud, AI, DevOps, Integration and Data platform operating model maturity.
Strategic Portfolio Management and Investment. Govern and drive IT portfolio intake process and prioritization meetings with cross functional partners and influence across teams to ensure alignment with the strategy and achieve business goals. In partnership with IT Leadership, monitor and track the portfolio health, progress, and interdependencies with other teams, and identifies impacts and recommends sequencing of the work. Drive connectivity between delivery teams, finance partners and other portfolio leads, influencing decisions to achieve successful business outcomes. Understand capacity constraints across the delivery teams, drive visibility and facilitate alignment of priorities and trade-offs needed. Establish and facilitate regular portfolio reviews to ensure visibility to execution progress, financials, capacity challenges, project risks and outcomes/value. Drive adoption of the portfolio tool with assigned teams, by providing communication and support on processes and expectations. Provide aggregate reporting on portfolio health and prepare information for executive presentations in a digestible and crisp format. Performance Management. Develop and implement Key performance metrics that are aligned with business outcomes and operating key metrics. Implement dashboards and IT performance reviews across business products/process/services. Drive transparency and accountability through reporting and communication. Lead IT/Cyber maturity assessments and capability reviews.
Governance and Operating Model. Define and maintain governance frameworks including decision rights, funding and intake process. Partner with finance, IT business partners and align key management routines related to portfolio, performance, finance and HR. Facilitate leadership reviews, executive dashboards, and communication strategy around IT value and performance.
Supplier Relationship. Work in partnership with Procurement and across IT leadership to manage overall supplier partnership to ensure strategic value, performance, operational effectiveness and compliance/risk are governed and managed.
