Our Corporate Communications team supports the dialogue with the public and cultivates the bank's reputation. In addition, it strengthens employees' identification with UniCredit Bank GmbH and their motivation through appropriate communication measures.

As a corporate newsroom, we work across topics, channels and target groups. As an interface between the various target groups of communication and the bank, our core competencies are strategic communications consulting for the management and the bank's own experts as well as the management of all communication channels of UniCredit Bank GmbH in Germany. In this way, we cultivate the bank's image, protect its reputation and support the bank's growth.

What you'll be doing

We are looking for a Senior Press Expert to drive our local media agenda. In this role your main tasks are:

  • First point of contact and maintaining a sustainable relationship with national and international media
  • Establish relations with journalists and relevant contacts to strengthen credibility with German press
  • Proactive support of the management in all press and media related matters
  • Managing the systematic approval process for external public appearances by UniCredit GmbH managers and employees
  • Close cooperation with the media relations department of UniCredit Group in Milan including advising the Group and local management in local realities, propose approach and solutions that drive a positive and authentic image of our group in the media
  • Planning, creating and implementing a comprehensive local cross-channel media strategy including strategic and financial communications as well as CEO communication

What you'll need to succeed

  • Completed university degree, Bachelor's degree or ideally Master's degree in communication, journalism or similar
  • Several years of professional experience in a role corresponding to the function – ideally in corporate communication and journalism, additionally experience in the financial services industry is a plus
  • Strong contact, presentation and representation skills with convincing rhetorical skills, diplomatic talent and formulation strength
  • High flexibility and adaptability to working in a dynamic international corporate environment including a matrix framework
  • Structured and goal-oriented & passionate about the role and living a hands-on approach
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and verbal
