Summary:

Reporting to the assistant director of student success, the student success coordinator will work on strategic initiatives to enhance the student experience. The student success coordinator will provide responsive, high-quality service to Lynn University students, parents, faculty and staff.

Job Description:

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, implement and support student success initiatives that ensure that students have a positive experience at the university – resulting in increased persistence and graduation rates.
  • Resolve challenges proactively and remove barriers for students by partnering with faculty and staff to find optimal solutions.
  • Assist students in navigating the academic, financial, social, cultural and athletic environments on campus by sharing resources, academic policies and important university dates/deadlines via text messages, phone calls, emails or in-person meetings.
  • Coordinate intervention pathways and case management for students of concern via the student success CRM, Navigate360.
  • Support the re-enrollment process ensuring a highly efficient and effective system for all students, including on-campus undergraduates, graduate students, and online learners, from application through enrollment.
  • Plan events and workshops that connect students to resources on campus.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated ability to initiate projects, work independently and produce timely and positive results.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication, leadership, organizational and programming skills.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret and analyze data and the business process needs of the integrated functions of a complex administrative business system.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate information is being shared with students.
  • Ability to train others and supervise student workers.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems independently.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule with flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
  • Demonstrated ability at planning and organizing multiple projects and tasks.
  • Ability to learn and apply institutional policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Apple tools with a willingness to learn various computer programs.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required. Candidates with a master’s degree preferred.
  • One to three years of customer service experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
