As quality representative within production ensures product & process conformity in accordance with the control plan and the right application of the quality principles (Quality Basics, respect of the IATF 16949 for this scope, …) and contribute to continuous improvement.
The main missions of the role are:
o Authority to stop non-conforming product and/or production and immediate escalation to UAP and Quality Manager
o Responsible for quality documentation at shopfloor (CDC in SW/JI, OK 1st part instruction, Poka Yoke Instruction and padlocks, Rework Instruction, tally sheets...) and their coherence with the control plan. Ensure that all necessary inspections are included and the necessary time is allocated in the standardized work sheets.
o Ensure that the related measuring equipment is available and meets requirements (e.g. R&R study, etc.)
o Provide clear quality records including all control points from Control Plan and S&R symbols, applying SPC when it is possible. Archive all quality records properly.
o In case of non-conformity, ensure proper deployment of containment actions within 24h (identify and block suspected parts/batches, implement and sorting activities and TQWs, definite appropriated control method/instruction, keep internal sorting activities organized, etc.)
o Perform analysis of customer claims and quality indicators in UAP/GAPs, supporting team with Quality Tools (8D, Kata, 7 Failure Mode analysis, Block Diagram, Ishikawa, Reverse PFMEA, PDCA, Convergence Plan, etc.)
o Support UAP Manager to set up the quality KPIs: scraps, NRFT, sorting costs
o Make sure that Kata QRCI methodology is fully applied in UAP, supporting and coaching UAP Manager, Supervisors and Gap Leaders, sustaining the rigorous application of the method and mindset
o Support the UAP in the implementation of the 8 Quality Basics in Production (train, implement, coach, audit, alert in case of deviation…)
o Be part of the PFMEA team and guarantee alignment with Control Plan
o Participate actively to the ECR deployment, ensure that Product or Process changes are in place respecting traceability rules
o Participate actively on New Program Launch Preparation, by updating production control plan, make it validated by the Plant Manager, implementing all new controls at the new lines, ensuring that new people are trained and guarantying that pre-series parts are properly controlled, in order to protect the customer. Participate to the PPAP customer preparation.
o Participate actively on OES product transition, by performing product and process risk assessment (PFMEA alignment), updating production control plan and support on process flow charts updates and definitions, make it validated by the Plant Manager, implementing all new controls at the new lines. Ensuring that people are trained and guarantying that pre-series parts are properly controlled, in order to protect the customer.
o Ensure IATF and VDA compliance on OES products and participate to the PPAP and derogation preparation (internal and/or external) according risk assessment output.
Minimum education level: Degree Engineering
Experience:
o Preferably, 3 years of experience in similar function.
o Experience of leading problem-solving initiative.
o Nice to have engineering and manufacturing background.
o Nice to have lean manufacturing experience.
o Nice to have people management.
Skills and competencies
o Quality foundation (MSA, capability study, R&R, SPC, Pareto data analysis, problem solving methodology, FMEA, Control Plan etc).
o Knowledge of IATF and VDA
o Good analytical and proven team problem solving skills knowledge.
o Some knowledge of various Quality system methodologies: LEAN manufacturing,
PPAP, etc.
o Continuous improvement attitude.
o Good in written and verbal communication.
o Good level of English.
