Join a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine, as an Identity & Access Management (IAM) Analyst – Intermediate in our Information Security department. This position will be primarily a work from home opportunity with the requirement to come onsite as needed. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.

As an Identity & Access Management (IAM) Analyst – Intermediate, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our evolving environment. Operating under general direction, you'll define systems scope and objectives through comprehensive research and deep understanding of business systems and industry requirements. Your responsibilities will encompass determining hardware needs, developing programs, and solving routine to moderately complex problems across all phases of application development. Collaborating closely with colleagues, you'll participate in component design, code reviews, and unit testing, ensuring adherence to implementation standards. In addition to designing and developing technology models for assigned projects, you'll conduct thorough code testing and provide crucial support and maintenance for existing applications. Your expertise will be instrumental during production support hours, as you troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions, while also proactively enhancing programs for optimal performance. Leveraging your analytical skills, you'll craft queries to extract and update data for reporting purposes and develop user manuals to facilitate seamless user experiences. Your role will involve close collaboration with technical staff to grasp programming challenges, as well as addressing customer complaints and incorporating end-user feedback for continuous improvement. As part of your duties, you may also contribute written documentation of project development and programming code, ensuring clarity and completeness.

Essential Job Functions

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements for IT systems effectively
  • Design and implement solutions to optimize system efficiency and effectiveness
  • Schedule meetings with technical teams and downstream app owners to discuss about the application functionality access provisioning and other connectivity roadblocks in application
  • Implement and maintain user provisioning, deprovisioning, access request, in a timely manner
  • Configure and manage authentication, such as SSO, MFA, and federated access
  • Develop and maintain Java, MS SQL, and Python scripts to automate system processes
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for system-related issues promptly
  • Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and NIST regulations in all system implementations
  • Conduct rigorous system testing and validation to guarantee accuracy and reliability
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures comprehensively for reference and training purposes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, and or work experience in related field
  • Minimum of 3-4 years' experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role
  • Experience with platforms such as SailPoint IIQ or IDN, CyberArk, MS Azure Active Directory and or similar applications
  • Certification in Epic security preferred; additional certifications are advantageous
  • Proficiency in federation protocols like SAML and OAuth, with hands-on experience in implementing single sign-on (SSO) solutions
  • Programming experience in one of the following languages: JAVA, Python, MS SQL, or PHP
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and shell scripting
  • Deep understanding of HIPAA and NIST regulations and their impact on IT systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on a flexible schedule which will include occasional late nights and weekends

Compensation & Benefits Overview

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.

The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
