BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Claims Analyst II for an opportunity in Remote - EST

Job Title: Claims Analyst II

Location: Remote (Eastern Time Zone)

Contract Type: 6-Month Contract (with possibility to extend or convert)

Pay Rate: $20.07/hour

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST (OT may be required based on workload)

Position Summary:

The Claims Analyst II is responsible for reviewing and processing routine and medical vision claims. This role requires verification of submitted information, assessment of claim eligibility, and accurate disbursement or denial of payments in accordance with company policies and procedures. The position supports the adjustment team, which reprocesses claims previously paid or denied incorrectly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process adjusted claims using internal systems (Track-It and Risk Manager).
• Organize and maintain records; use computer systems to access and retrieve data.
• Review insurance claim forms for accuracy and completeness.
• Determine policy coverage and claim eligibility.
• Authorize payments or denials and ensure timely fund disbursement.
• Handle refund applications and investigate claim discrepancies.
• Coordinate with attorneys, doctors, agents, and third parties as needed.
• Provide limited customer service support or referrals to external contacts.
• Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to departmental projects.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Required: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: 2-4 years of claims processing experience (minimum 6 months required)

Preferred Skills:

• Strong knowledge of claims processing and medical terminology
• Familiarity with health insurance procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP and pivot tables)
• Ability to meet quality standard of 97% and production target of 100%
• Strong multitasking and organizational abilities
• Clear written and verbal communication skills

• Fully remote (EST candidates only)
• Collaborative, communicative team culture
• Supportive training process including onboarding, system training, and cross-training across claim types

Interview Process:

• Interviews conducted via Microsoft Teams
• No required assessments unless otherwise noted
