What you'll do...

  • Coordinates, completes, and oversees job related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs identifying and communicating goals and objectives building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results identifying and addressing improvement opportunities and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning
  • Ensures standards for food safety and quality testing for example Food Safety Quality Control Plans Key Performance Indicators by maintaining documentation accuracy and testing control plans monitoring laboratory training and testing to ensure all personnel are capable and proficient in laboratory methods and protocols verifying processes and products are in compliance with federal state and company specifications and maintaining laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and precision
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training mentoring assigning duties providing recognition and ensuring diversity awareness
  • Leads Continuous Improvement efforts by working with management for example FSQA manager to streamline operations maintaining department operation efficiency anticipating and resolving issues before they impact compliance product quality and availability and distributing work assignments to ensure on time completion and release of raw materials bulk and third-party products
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission values and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices
  • Manages the business plan for area of responsibility by communicating goals and managing staffing and scheduling assigning duties and coordinating workload establishing ongoing training assistance for example quality and food safety supporting HACCP program troubleshooting quality issues and concerns assisting with compliance regulations and leading special project efforts
  • Manages laboratory inventory levels to ensure laboratory functions properly by ensuring protocols are followed for maintaining tools equipment and containers monitoring the rotation and usage of consumables to ensure timely usage and preparing purchase requisitions to provide the laboratory with the proper stock levels of consumables Quality Management Laboratory Management System Food Safety and Sanitation Regulatory Compliance Continuous Improvement Process

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

The annual salary range for this position is $65,500.00-$98,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
