POSITION SUMMARY:

The UX Designer will play an integral role in designing solutions that impact patients, donors, healthcare workers, and our internal staff. By seeking out and leveraging user insights, the UX Designer will ensure that every user journey is intuitive and meaningful. Working with cross-functional teams, this role will help shape the best ideas into transformative experiences that support our life-saving goals.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- User Advocacy: Champion customer and user needs while prioritizing shared outcomes that incorporate the best of user experience, design, content, business, technology, and marketing strategies.
- Design Creation: Create user flows, sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs—as appropriate—to conceptualize and communicate the product experience.
- Research and Testing: Conduct user research and usability testing to inform and validate design decisions, ensuring user-centered outcomes.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaboratively lead UX within cross-disciplinary teams (product managers, marketers, developers, researchers) to achieve business objectives and deliver user-centered solutions.
- UX Culture: Contribute to a collaborative design culture by presenting designs, research, and project strategies for review and feedback with UX peers, product, and engineering teams.
- Thought Leadership: Champion innovative ideas, products, and approaches, leveraging diverse inputs to identify and define new concepts, opportunities, and customer problems.
- UX Metrics: Evaluate, track, and report on the user experience of our products and design initiatives through regular benchmark testing, usability studies, web analytics, or other advanced metrics to ensure continuous UX improvement.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
We require a strong portfolio that showcases your approach and design process in solving complex problems driven by user insights for both web-based and mobile applications. Your portfolio should include examples of user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, while highlighting the user research approaches you led to inform and validate your design decisions.
Knowledge of:
- Best practices for usability, information architecture, interactive design, and visual design, ensuring intuitive and engaging user experiences across all platforms.
- Proven experience leading usability studies and conducting user research, utilizing various methodologies (interviews, contextual inquiries, usability testing, etc.) to gather insights and inform design decisions.
- Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Experience defining and maintaining UX design patterns and standards as part of an organizational design system.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in interaction design, industrial design, human-computer interaction (HCI), human factors engineering, computer science, psychology, or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience as a UX Designer, Product Designer, Interaction Designer, or similar.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Additional qualifications that may make a person even more effective in the role, but are not required for consideration)
- Experience designing both business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business applications (B2B)
- Experience leading and facilitating co-creation workshops and design thinking methodologies.
- Experience with UX Design for Salesforce Community Cloud and/or Service Cloud applications.
- Experience with UX Design for SiteCore web implementations
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum workflows, especially using Asana and/or Jira platform
