Data WH Ops Spec-Insights supports the implementation and deployment of a vendor product to SwitchThink clients. They are responsible to extract third party data, by running extraction and transformation jobs, and securely sending data out of the SwitchThink environment to our solution partner. They are also responsible for file monitoring and troubleshooting issues, escalating concerns, and responding in a timely manner to ensure alignment with our solution partner and to meet client satisfaction goals and defined SLAs.
What you will do here:
Data Extraction, Transformation & Transfer
Execute scheduled and ad hoc data extraction and transformation jobs from third-party systems and internal databases. Perform all data mapping as required. Ensure data files are transmitted in accordance with SwitchThink and solution partner security polices
Validate data against predefined business and technical rules to ensure consistency and integrity. Ensure data files are received and modified appropriately to ensure PII security.
Facilitate secure outbound data transmissions to external solution partners, following security protocols and regulatory guidelines (e.g., encryption, SFTP).
Document ETL processes and maintain comprehensive logs for audit and compliance purposes.
Create process documentation and playbooks that can be shared with clients.
Maintain accurate operational and data flow processes
File Monitoring & Issue Resolution
Proactively monitor scheduled file jobs and data flows for failures, delays, or anomalies.
Collaborate with internal team members and our solution partner to implement, test and maintain system operations.
Investigate and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.
Escalate recurring or critical issues to technical leads or vendor partners as needed, and coordinate resolution steps.
Track and report on issue resolution timelines in accordance with defined service level agreements (SLAs). Address Level 1 and 2 incidents.
Ensure environment optimization.
Vendor and Client Alignment
Coordinate closely with SwitchThink’s solution partner to ensure seamless data handoff and alignment on expectations and deliverables.
Support implementation timelines by managing data-related tasks and dependencies.
Maintain high levels of communication and responsiveness to ensure client satisfaction and success during onboarding and ongoing operations.
Provide status updates and reporting to internal stakeholders on data job performance and issue trends.
Create service level KPI reporting for clients and our solution partner.
Drive continuous improvements in technologies and services.
What you will need:
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience required.
3+ years of experience in a data warehouse, ETL, or data integration role required.
3+ years experience in new platform set up required.
1+ years experience working in Financial Services preferred.
Demonstrated competency with ETL tools and job scheduling platforms required.
Experience running batch jobs, scripting data transformations, and working with secure data transmission protocols required.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) required.
Proficiency with Python required.
Demonstrated competency in data warehouse reporting and data mapping from data source required.
Demonstrated expertise with data security, encryption, and compliance practices required.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required.
Familiarity with source code control and ticketing systems like Jira or Jira Service Desk required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
Ability to deliver an optimal customer experience required.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software needed to create documentation/reports required.
Proficiency working with core financial systems or in the credit union/banking space preferred.
