The Plant Manager will lead operations at our Rincon, GA facility, a small team environment (around 40 employees) with large-scale throughput. The site specializes in the treatment and distillation of Crude Sulfate Turpentines (CST), including sulfur removal and separation into alpha and beta pinenes. Operating under PSM (Process Safety Management) regulations due to the high volume of flammables, this role requires strong leadership in process safety and compliance.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of plant operations including safety, production, maintenance, quality, environmental compliance, and cost management.
• Ensure compliance with PSM and other regulatory standards (EPA, OSHA, local agencies).
• Manage and develop a workforce of approximately 40 employees, fostering a high-performance, safety-first culture.
• Drive operational excellence with a focus on throughput, product quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Serve as the primary site representative in interactions with community stakeholders and local regulatory agencies, particularly around odor management and public perception.
• Champion and support continuous improvement initiatives, driving industrial performance excellence and process optimization.
• Collaborate closely with supply chain, commercial, and engineering teams to align production with business goals.

You bring

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or chemical plant operations, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• Prior experience in a PSM-regulated or high-hazard facility is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of distillation processes, reactive chemistry, and chemical handling.
• Demonstrated ability to lead small teams effectively while managing large-scale throughput.
• Excellent communication and community engagement skills, especially in handling sensitive environmental or public concerns.
• Proven leadership in SHE, compliance, reliability, and team development.
