Advisory & Financing Solutions (A&FS) is UniCredit's center of excellence for Corporate Finance, M&A Advisory and Capital Markets transactions in top-level strategic dialogues. Sectors Advisory within A&FS follows an integrated industry and M&A origination and execution approach with in-depth knowledge of Telecommunication/Media/Technology, Industrials/Mobility, Consumer, Healthcare & Retail as well as Natural Resources, Utilities & Infrastructure sectors for investment banking and corporate clients.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinating company and market research activities
  • Origination and independent management of M&A transactions
  • Structuring and reviewing of marketing / pitch presentations
  • Responsibility for company valuations
  • Handling of investor communication in M&A sell-side mandates
  • Coordinating the preparation of marketing materials for capital markets mandates (ECM/M&A etc.)
  • Due diligence, data room and overall project management in M&A buy- and sell-side situations
  • Top-notch strategic interactions with leading corporates and investors
  • Respective interaction and communication with other advisors of our clients (e.g. legal, tax etc)
  • Client management in M&A process preparations and actual execution
  • Working with UniCredit corporate coverage to originate transactions.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum of five years practical experience in an investment bank, M&A boutique, or equivalent
  • Sector expertise with extensive knowledge of the TMT sector, including trends, market dynamics and investors

Experience in Capital Markets and/or M&A sell-side projects including drafting of info memoranda, management presentations, due diligence preparation and organization as well as Q&A management.

  • Profound practical valuation expertise including comparable company and comparable transactions analyses as well as cash-flow based valuation analyses (DCF, LBO)
  • Advanced excel modeling skills (operating models, valuation models, etc.)
  • Experienced in pitching for and originating M&A mandates on the basis of precise and thoroughly investigated company and market analyses.
  • Excellent skills in the use of standard office software and data bases (e.g. Refinitiv, Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Mergermarket) and drafting and formatting meaningful client presentations (PowerPoint) and documentations.
  • Strong analytical skills and quick grasp
  • Strong oral and written skills in both German and English languages
  • Team player who is used to work and operate within different team compositions.
  • Used to assume own responsibilities and aware of respective accountability.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment towards client and project work-imposed deadlines
  • The position requires the special knowledge and reliability according to § 87 (2) WpHG (2. FiMANoG) and § 1a and § 6 WpHGMaAnzV
