Position Summary...

What you'll do...

As a member of the Product Safety and Compliance team, you will have direct involvement in executing and building programs expected to guarantee product safety and regulatory compliance.

What you’ll do….

  • Lead a team responsible for all Product Safety Regulatory Reporting requirements.
  • Be the primary point of contact to the CPSC and FDA for Product Safety.
  • Lead continual improvement of regulatory reporting for Product Safety.
  • Mature the analytics and insights model to spot risk across merchandising groups.
  • Work with key stakeholders to remediate risks and build compliance controls.
  • Identify and lead tech efforts to unlock new data streams and ways of working.
  • Collaborate across stakeholders to ensure program awareness and communicate change impact to other business areas.
  • Draft communication documents to inform Walmart sellers of Product Safety and Compliance requirements.

What you’ll bring….

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience working with government organizations (CPSC, FDA).
  • Ability to guide insights and lead data/analytics strategy.
  • Experience building and scaling compliance programs/processes.
  • You are organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to improve processes.
  • Legal research skills and the ability to interpret legal requirements to assess business impact.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in legal studies or 10 years of related experience
  • 5-10 years’ experience working with governmental agencies
  • 5-10 years legal and/or compliance experience
  • Data Analytics & Visualization skills - Excel, Tableau, Power BI
  • Experience with MS Office Suite applications

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 5 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 3 years’ supervisory experience. 4 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
