OVERVIEW
Otterbein Tipp City is looking for skilled Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) who desire a career that matters in a company that values their expertise. The LPN directs resident care; collaborates with physicians, residents and multi-disciplinary team members; provides physical and psychological support to residents, families and team members.
Shift: Part-Time 6a-6p (2 days a week and every other weekend is required)
Responsibilities
- Assesses residents by physical examination, including pertinent diagnostic testing to determine health status.
- Administers medications and treatments.
- Participates in care planning process.
- Supervises LPNs and certified nursing assistants.
- Communicates with physicians regarding changes in resident’s conditions, diagnostic test results, etc.
- Documents assessments and care in compliance with standards of care and company policy.
- Educates residents and their families on health-related issues.
- Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and State and/or Federal regulations.
- Communicating a sense of caring, concern, and dignity for elders
- Recognizing the autonomy and dignity of all elders
- Understanding how to place decision-making in the hands of the elders
- Focusing on providing high-quality service and care
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid state licensure as an LPN/LVN.
- Current CPR certification.
- CEU’s as required by the State.
