Position Description:

We are looking to add a manager to our Dublin based Fund Development and Governance & Investment Management Oversight team. The candidate will support fund launches, liquidations, mergers and other key events for our Irish domiciled fund ranges. Working within the EMEA Funds Business Group, the Fund Development and Governance team works closely with our Product Management, Account Management, Legal and Operations teams, playing a meaningful role in the management of product and regulatory initiatives. In addition, the candidate will be a member of the Investment Oversight team supporting the Designated Person (‘DP’).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the Fund Development process, partnering with PIMCO’s product strategy group and other key internal partners
  • Support the Investment Management DP with daily oversight tasks and interaction with Portfolio Managers and Product teams.
  • Manage new projects and initiatives to support the broader funds group in PIMCO
  • Ensure that new business or regulatory initiatives are implemented appropriately, policy frameworks are reviewed and are subjected to appropriate governance oversight
  • Spearhead the project management workflow, from initial queries on fund structures/internal processes/external practice within the funds space to coordinating the implementation and ensuring the correct project governance
  • Develop and maintain controls and procedures associated with fund and share class launches, modifications, terminations and transitions
  • Ensure proper integration of new products into the existing fund administration work flows
  • Manage the production process of regulatory documents such as UCITS KIIDs, PRIIPs KIDs, European Mifid Template (EMT), European PRIIPS Template (EPT) and European ESG Template (EET).
  • Perform and enhance oversight activities associated with carrying out PIMCO’s regulatory duties and obligations
  • Enhance processes and controls with macros, AI and other techniques

Position Requirements:

  • Primary degree with an emphasis in Finance and Economics or a related quantitative/analytical field from an accredited, leading business school or university
  • Understanding of funds, securities and derivatives is preferred
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to learn and apply new skills, communicate optimally with all levels of management and have outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Capable of working independently and prioritising amongst multiple projects
  • Risk and control focused
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Clear commitment to PIMCO’s culture, values and approach
  • Competence in Python, Visual Basic, SQL and AI prompt engineering a plus
