About the Role

We are looking for an energetic and experienced Communications and Marketing Campaign Manager to develop, operationalize, and manage our global brand and communication strategy and campaigns. This individual will work cross-functionally and support all global brand, marketing, communication and PR initiatives and relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead all aspects of the brand and communication program, including strategy, budgeting, planning, stakeholder and relationship management, knowledge management, and materials preparation
  • Be responsible for innovating and designing campaigns and execution to drive business and marketing KPIs
  • Work with cross-functional teams internally (within the North America team, the global marketing and business operations teams, and with other Alibaba Group business units and functional teams) and externally (agencies and partners); facilitate clear communications and good working relationships
  • Ensure consistency and governance of our brand across marketing and communications content types and touchpoints
  • Work closely with content managers, business owners and global marketing, design, and product teams to delivery on brand message with all departments
  • Story-tell and internal reporting: translating ideas and concepts into compelling narrative and documents (e.g., PPT, emails, user-guides); socialize knowledge and insights internally to facilitate teamwork and knowledge transfer
  • Ability to travel in US and China (~30%)

Job requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 7+ years of brand and marketing, or consulting program management experience
  • Fast learner and problem solver with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Unique blend of business, brand, and marketing savvy
  • Analytical and agile, with the ability to learn fast in cross-cultural, cross-functional environment
  • Ability to function well in a fast paced (sometimes chaotic) environment under tight deadlines
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and push multiple projects forward simultaneously
  • Prior experience managing external partners and agencies
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to keep cross functional teams focused, motivated and on task
  • Support and lead teams to deliver and manage multiple complex projects and campaigns
  • Track record of achieving results
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of project and (some) financial management processes, workflow and terminology
  • Big-picture, strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a bias for action and organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in managing and negotiating contracts and budgets
  • B2B experience with an ecommerce background
  • Experience working in/with China
  • Reads and/or Speaks Chinese
