IS Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES The IS application service manager will be responsible for leading IS/IT application management services to enhance the efficiency and user experience of specific business domain IS applications. Application Lifecycle Management – Research and Procurement, identifying, evaluating, and procuring software applications that meet business requirements – Implementation and Integration, overseeing the installation, configuration, and integration of new applications into existing systems – Maintenance and Support: Ensuring applications are running smoothly, resolving issues, and providing ongoing support to end-users – Upgrades and Enhancements, planning, implementing, and managing application upgrades and enhancements Project Management and Application Delivery – Provide overall project leadership and management of all aspects of a given project, including scope definition, resource forecast and allocation with leaderships, business and technical requirements gathering, solution design and delivery, testing, change management, implementation, new tool/process training plan, handover and project lesson learnt – Responsible for technical management in the project, including the architecture design, system design and software development and test – Responsible for business requirements collection, analysis and documentation in the project – Structure and manage the project plan and RACI, including defining what needs to be done and when with stakeholders – Effectively manage all project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies. This includes anticipating and making trade-offs, balancing the business needs versus constraints – Facilitate project meetings or discussions with business and technology stakeholders, includes but not limited: regular project status sharing, technical discussion, alignment discussion, mediating any obstacles or clashes, etc. – Complete relevant resourcing and budget documentation to support the project if needed, in line with global processes – Ensure business change activities are considered and incorporated into the project plan, as required – Continuously evaluate project performance to ensure we are delivering against business objectives and schedule – Provide project reporting and status to senior management Collaboration and Communication – Stakeholder Management, working with business stakeholders, IT staff, and vendors to ensure applications meet business needs – Communication, communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences – Work closely with internal/external vendor teams as well as global team, to make sure they can deliver the projects and application services with high quality and within budget and time, setup the post go-live support scope/SLA and meet user expectations Other Important Tasks – Documentation, maintaining system documentation, including configuration settings, technical specifications, and user guides – Training, providing training to end-users on how to use new applications – Performance Monitoring, monitoring application performance and identifying areas for improvement – Regulatory Compliance, ensuring applications comply with relevant regulations and standards
