First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking a Balancing & Control Specialist I to join our Wealth Management Service Center - FAR Team. In this role you will performs the reconciliation of the Daily Net Settlement (DNS) between FHB and its Trust Custodian, SEI. Also, reconciles the affected GL and control accounts accurately and timely, and performs other balancing and reconciliations, inventory and audits, and related general ledger and suspense account entries.

The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (hours may vary)

Compensation:

The hourly pay range for this role is: $18.75 - $23.50/hour; commensurate with experience.

The ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience required
• 1 year of experience in bank operations, trust operations, accounting, or related field required
• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field preferred
• Knowledge or the banking or finance industry preferred
• Able to plan and prioritize effectively
• Able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines
• Attention to detail with excellent follow-through
• Working knowledge of basic accounting terminology and concepts
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good analytical skills
• Able to handle confidential matters judiciously
