Job Summary
Responsible for the preparation and cooking of foods for all assigned dining areas and as outlined in major job functions and upholding the sanitation guidelines set by the Department of Health and State of Georgia and exhibits the skill to maintain the food quality standards of Carlyle Place.
Essential Functions
Education, Training, and Experience
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Must have 1 years advanced quality kitchen experience in a cooking position or worked as a Carlyle Place Utility for at least 6 months.
Other Job Requirements, Licenses, Certifications
Must be able to operate kitchen equipment including oven, steamer, fryer, tilt skillet, steam jacketed kettle.
Must meet all training requirements annually and maintain and successfully complete, all competencies, including other department specific training as required.
Works in hospital and clinical environments. May work in extreme heat with hot materials. Must be able to utilize appropriate universal and specific precautions for protection from potential exposure to infectious or communicable diseases.
