The Senior Manager of Business Development will be the face of Samsung to some of our most important mobile ecosystem partners, and source, build and manage these relationships across all categories/industries. The focus is on driving revenue, sourcing and structuring strategic partnerships for Samsung’s mobile content and services business and making sure partners are leveraging Samsung’s full platform capabilities and distribution. This includes monetizing mobile global preloads, Samsung’s app-store Galaxy Store, Samsung Internet Browser, as well as new mobile O&O services. You will need to have a deep understanding of the mobile landscape, mobile ads, app-store and other distribution/monetization platforms and evolving business models. You will also have a deep understanding of Samsung’s product roadmap in order to articulate platform value and represent product requirements to partners. This person will be partnering with Mobile Ad team in building solutions and executing upon them to drive value & revenue for Samsung user and partners as well as with Carriers/Networks in managing some of Samsung’s content & services partnerships and deal negotiations.
The ideal candidate will be hungry, proactive and passionate about closing deals, and will have exceptional relationship-building skills. The candidate will also have excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to navigate and embrace the complexities of a large organization. While managing partner relationships, the candidate will need to be able to see the big picture but remain detail oriented. The Senior Manager must be a self-starter and will need be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, take initiative, prioritize well, and work under tight timeframes. Experience working with Mobile OEMs strongly preferred.

Compensation for this role, for candidates based in New York City, NY, is expected to be between $130,000 ~ $165,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
