What you will do:

A program manager, or program coordinator, is responsible for supervising and coordinating a Key customers programs or projects to ensure their efficient and timely completion. Program managers should have project management or business administration background that allows them to align projects with their JCI strategic goals planned for key customers from Data Centre vertical.

Program manager duties includes building customer relationship to build long term successful relationship between JCI and Key Data Centre Customers achieving JCI’s long-term goals, managing teams and resources and communicating with stakeholders.

In this role you will be responsible to work with and ensure fullest satisfaction to our customers who are key customers for JCI data centre verticals. Alongside you will also work with cross functional teams on managing requirements essentials to ensure on-time delivery and project operations key KPIs are met .

You will be early engaging with Sales, Design, Customer and various stakeholders to ensure we have right cost, timelines, risk identified and mitigation plan in place. As you identify improvement opportunities you will partner with cross functional teams to develop & deploy processes & capability as needed.

Program Manager Duties and Responsibilities

A program manager oversees the flawless execution and completion of the project timely manner with fullest satisfaction and helping our data centre customer achieve its business objectives. Here are some of their primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Creating and implementing program plans and schedules
  • Managing workforce and resource allocation
  • Proactive and timely communication project progress to key stakeholders of external and internal customers.
  • Ensuring lessons learned from previous projects execution are implemented during future project execution
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks and challenges
  • Communicating and collaborating with program stakeholders
  • Assessing a program’s pros and cons
  • Coordinating with vendors related to the program
  • Supervising project managers and monitoring progress
  • Review all bids in pipeline for smart infrastructure projects along with sales team
  • Plan resources needed in terms of Sub con and Engineering (Design and Install )
  • Work closely with SCM and sub con partners to clarify scope of work and resources needed with detailed scope of work from design team
  • Identify risk in terms of Technology, Contractual, Location specific, Timelines, Resources, Quality and safety – and also have mitigation plan in place along with all stakeholders
  • Site surveys, POC and customer coordination as needed
  • Get best execution industry cadence to ensure we deliver on our commitment to customer with the help of site specific team in the field

What are we looking for :

  • 15 + Years of IBMS/ ELV industry experience as Project Manager/ Program Manager in Data Centre projects execution
  • Willing to spend more on-site time presence than being off-site.
  • Strong hands on experience in the areas of IBMS ELV Systems projects execution having in-depth knowledge of Data Centre ELV System execution process i.e. Successful planning and execution of IST.
  • Engineering Graduate / MBA will be an added advantage
  • Need to have strong know-how of project financial aspects
  • PMP / PgMP - certified professional
  • High level of project/portfolio management experience and working within complex environments is preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction project management methodology & principles of large Data Centre/ Smart infrastructure projects
  • Actively participating in Prebid review, cross functional engagement to be competitive on schedule, cost and profitability
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills
  • A high level of organisational and time management skills
  • An ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently
  • An ability to be flexible to adapt to ever changing environments
  • Tertiary or post trade qualifications in Project Management or engineering or a related discipline or demonstrate equivalent level of experience (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others
  • Competent computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Project, PrimaVera, Visio.
