Within the DB Corporate Bank, the decision has been made to implement the Relationship & Transaction Management model that follows our commitment to client-centricity. By combining our client service units and the subsidiary coverage teams into one function, RTM will be contributing to strong revenue growth through scalable flow product initiatives, synergies as well as enhancing the overall client experience, but also help fostering a holistic collaboration across products and functions in the region as well as allowing Coverage to focus on key clients and new deal origination.

Corporate Bank Trade Finance supports corporate clients in mitigating and managing these risks globally by a range of product solutions and services, like Documentary Credits, Collections and Guarantees. Additionally funded and strategic solutions are provided aimed at optimizing a corporate’s balance sheet, liquidity and supplier & buyer challenges. These solutions support corporates in meeting their strategic and financial goals.

TF Advisory & Services builds and maintains an excellent relationship with corporate clients by providing advisory proactively and best in class service. TF Advisory & Services is responsible for the front-to-back transaction flows and risks and executing on transaction monitoring. Whilst doing so, the teams are responsible for maintaining regular client contacts and creating and monitoring client satisfaction. There is a close cooperation with TF & CTF Structuring who provide (tailor-made) solutions across the trade finance value chain which includes pitching for complex facility agreements and responding to RFPs.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for portfolio of 10-14 clients, first point of contact with regard to trade finance flow products
  • The portfolio consists of global & local trade finance clients, where the advisor advices on documentary business, guarantees and the TF access channels
  • Excellent daily service and client satisfaction
  • Advice on and steer towards good utilization of existing trade finance facilities
  • Analyze and monitor portfolio developments to identify on new TF opportunities for (global) corporate clients
  • Identify deep sell and cross sell TF flow opportunities
  • Interact jointly with TF Structuring to implement new transactions
  • Front-to-back process & transaction execution responsibility
  • Offer customized pricing for Flow transactions using the relevant pricing tools a/o in close cooperation with TFFI
  • By understanding client needs, develop & implement tailored sales approaches
  • Organize workshops tailored to the business and needs of the respective client (virtual and on-site at the client)
  • Responsible for compliance with all non-financial risk controls, including coordination and escalation processes (f.e. red flags, reputational risk) and identifying opportunities for improvement in current and future transaction processing
  • Pro-actively manage and inform relevant stakeholders on transactions, being among others TF Structuring, Delivery Hub India, Center of Excellence, TFFI, RPM, AFC, Legal, CRM
  • Guidance of colleagues in the team with less product- and client advice expertise
  • Maintain and grow network within DB to adequately respond to client asks and issues
  • Supporting automation initiatives, driving efficiencies and be agile
  • Supporting Team Lead on achieving KPIs
  • Acts as a role model with respect to the Values and Beliefs in general, but especially in terms of Client Centricity; Innovation, Discipline and Teamwork

Skills

  • Affinity with trade finance and advising corporate clients
  • Basic understanding of Trade Finance Flow products and trade supply chain
  • Resilient and committed with the ability to deliver within tight deadlines and, due to the nature of the trade finance business, under pressure
  • Works mostly independent, receives limited guidance and instructions
  • Analyzes problems, proposes, and implements solutions by using experience from the past
  • Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services
  • Ability to successfully navigate a complex, international organization, build strong relationships and work collaboratively with partner teams, external clients, and other control functions
  • Able to communicate with our clients on a senior level within the company
  • Excellent risk-awareness
  • Pro-active attitude and can-do mentality
  • Good Microsoft Office skills; Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor degree preferably in the field of Economics, Business Administration or Finance
  • 3-5 years of experience within the financial sector, preferably in Trade Finance
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, written and verbal
