Senior Editor (Editorial)

Location: Fully Remote

Duration: 6 months

Pay: up to $40, DOE

Planet Interactive is looking for an Editor to join our well-known lifestyle brand technology client on a 6 month contract. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week role working a fully remote schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Curate trend-forward, brand-defining editorial boards aligned to key moments, partnerships, and seasonal cycles
  • Help implement the Brand's editorial strategy through algotorial curation — using editorial judgment to support machine learning systems and content personalization
  • Write sharp, scroll-stopping microcopy (including headlines, board descriptions, and short blurbs) for in-app content and social surfaces
  • Monitor cultural and consumer trends to surface fresh, relevant ideas across content touchpoints
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including marketing, partnerships, and insights to bring editorial initiatives to life
  • Contribute to special editorial projects, partner campaigns, and content experiments within the app
  • Maintain high editorial standards and ensure work is on-brand, inclusive, and globally resonant

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of editorial experience, ideally within men’s lifestyle, fashion, culture, or adjacent verticals
  • A strong editorial point of view, with the ability to identify trends before they hit the mainstream
  • Exceptional short-form writing skills with a portfolio that shows clear, compelling microcopy
  • Experience curating visual content, ideally for digital or mobile platforms
  • A passion for building content that speaks to diverse audiences and feels relevant to both Gen Z and millennial users
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, iterative environments with shifting priorities and lots of moving parts
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms, Google Docs, Airtable, Slack, and other editorial workflow tools
  • Bonus: experience working in an algotorial or personalization-driven content environment
