Primary Objective: In broad terms, briefly state the major purpose of primary objective of this position.
Trains and has advance skills. Operates assigned set of looms, producing first quality backing at expected rate of efficiency. Weavers will visually inspect the finished fabric and make quality determinations. Will perform other related duties as assigned by management.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work assigned schedule. Ability to perform logical and mathematical calculations. Ability to learn job specific computer skills. Ability to learn standard weaving procedures and apply principles to different types of looms. Ability to identify and communicate machine malfunctions. Ability to visually recognize quality defects in fabric.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Reports to shift supervisor/department manager, but works with minimum amount of supervision.
DIRECTION EXERCISED:
Limited to personal activities required to perform duties of job.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Frequency – Amount – Description)
STANDING / WALKING:
Ability to stand and walk continuously for up to twelve (12) hours daily.
SITTING: N/A
MOVING SELF:
Ability to move about assigned work area continuously in a twelve (12) hour shift.
CLIMBING:
Ability to step on/off catwalk, as needed, during a twelve (12) hour shift.
MOVING (MATERIALS): (Lifting – carrying – pushing – pulling)
Lifting/carrying – Ability to lift and carry full fill yarn packages continually during a twelve (12) hour shift. Lift up to fifty (50) pounds without mechanical assistance. Get help when needed.
HEARING / SPEAKING:
Must be able to communicate with co-workers and management as needed to perform job duties.
REACHING:
Vertical – Ability to reach full arms extension to perform job duties.
Horizontal – Ability to reach full arms extension to perform job duties.
VISUAL ACUITY:
Must have adequate normal, color vision and depth perception to perform job duties. Ability to utilize both near and far vision while performing job duties. Must have the ability to repair yarn breaks, thread yarn through small openings, repair ends out and recognize quality defects.
BENDING / STOOPING:
Ability to bend, squat, stoop and kneel throughout a twelve (12) hour shift, as needed to perform job duties.
MENTAL ABILITIES:
Ability to make decisions regarding work priorities. Ability to recognize quality defects, loom problems and record information correctly on designated forms. Ability to learn job related computer skills.
OTHER:
Fingering – Ability to demonstrate good tactile discrimination and functional sensation. Ability to thread yarn through small openings
Medium motor manipulation – Ability to use scissors and reed hook to perform job duties.
Fine motor coordination - Ability to tie knots. Ability to enter job related data in computer system.
Grip – Ability to grip hand tools, start handle and fill yarn packages. Ability to utilize both a one handed and a two-handed grip.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Must wear hearing protection, Comfortable shoes , and safety glasses with permanent side shields when in the warehouse and production areas. Must adhere to plant clothing and footwear policy. Wear personal protective equipment as required by task at hand.
MACHINE, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT:
Looms, scissors, reed hook, plastic hook, pen/pencil, clipboard, package holder, comb, pouch, apron, and clips.
MATERIALS USED:
Warp yarn, fill yarn, pen/pencil, and paper.
