CorVel is hiring a Business Systems Analyst to drive software automation improvement initiatives through the collection and analysis of system and application data. This role involves measuring application activity and behavior, analyzing the results, presenting findings to leadership, and proposing enhancements.

The analyst will also work closely with our Customer Acceptance Testing coordinator to plan and execute test scenarios and will collaborate with both internal and external customers on workflow configurations and technical troubleshooting. This is a high-visibility position that combines regular interaction with internal stakeholders and focused analytical work.

This is a remote role.

  • The ability to quickly grasp and adapt to business processes.
  • A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills, strong organizational abilities, and a high level of attention to detail.
  • The capacity to understand and communicate the "big picture" while managing intricate technical tasks.
  • Strong SQL skills

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for assigned project areas
  • Diagnose complex business problems using system knowledge, analytics and SQL
  • Define, implement, and track KPIs to measure project success
  • Lead /participate in regular meetings with the Customer Acceptance Testing Coordinator, development teams, and project stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for automation and improved quality controls. Follow team protocol for updating, recording and organizing documentation.
  • Maintain clear, organized documentation following team standards
  • Able to prioritize workload independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Support high-quality software delivery by understanding business needs and enterprise applications

EDUCATION, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE:

  • 4+ years as a Business Analyst or Technical Product Manager
  • 4+ years’ experience writing and executing complex SQL queries
  • 2+ years working with data analytics and visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau
  • Outstanding communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with build/release processes and continuous integration
  • Quick to learn new systems and adapt in dynamic environments
  • Ability to thrive under tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting

PREFERRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in healthcare or insurance industries
  • Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
  • Familiarity with APIs and web service integrations
  • Hands-on software development experience

PAY RANGE:

CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.

For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.) new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during interview process taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.

Pay Range: $76,207 - $117,662
