Job Details:
The Sr. Manager of Network Engineering will oversee the operational budget for network technology, encompassing annual budget preparation, periodic reviews, and contract management through Tyson's workflow systems. This role also involves contributing to the annual capital budgeting process for network technology items and navigating the capital approval processes within the designated area of responsibility. Vendor management experience is essential for effective budget planning and contract execution. Additionally, this position includes responsibilities for asset and inventory management of all network-related inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
Budget Management: Manage the operational budget for network technology, including annual budget preparation, periodic budget reviews, and contract submissions through Tyson's workflow systems.
Capital Budgeting: Provide input into the annual capital budgeting process for network technology items and work through capital approval processes for items within the area of responsibility.
Vendor Management: Execute vendor management for budget planning and contract execution, ensuring alignment with Tyson's financial and operational goals.
Asset and Inventory Management: Oversee asset and inventory management for all network-related inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and accountability.
Service Provider Accountability: Hold the Managed Service Provider accountable for delivering against SLAs and KPIs in the network technology space.
Escalation Handling: Address escalations from customers and leadership, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Lifecycle Planning: Plan and manage the lifecycle of network technologies, including capacity planning, upgrades, and replacements.
Technical Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in managing, troubleshooting, installing, and upgrading network technology equipment.
Enterprise Network Understanding: Possess a deep understanding of enterprise networks, including LAN, WLAN, WAN, Cloud, and load balancers.
Strategic Roadmap Execution: Define and execute against a multi-year technology and project roadmap in the network space, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technological advancements
Experience: 7+ years of relevant and practical experience, preferably in IT management (Networking) or a related role, with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
