Funded Postdoctoral Scientist position in Translational Cancer is available in Rosser/Furuya Lab at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Our laboratory has identified a panel of urine-based protein biomarkers that are significantly associated with bladder cancer. With the clinically relevant carcinogen-induced bladder cancer mouse model, we are interested to elucidate mechanisms of how the protein biomarkers are involved in bladder cancer development by interacting with tumor microenvironment including fibroblasts and immune cells.

Main research directions in the lab include:

  1. The role of protein biomarkers in the development of bladder cancer in mouse model
  2. Link between the protein biomarkers, fibroblasts, immune cells and cancer
  3. How protein biomarkers develops pro-cancerous microenvironment
