Overview:
Vaco is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee and manage technology projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT processes, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Execute projects according to plan, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
- Assign tasks and provide guidance and support to team members.
- Conduct regular team meetings to monitor progress and resolve any issues.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and upper management.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring that project goals align with business objectives.
- Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
- Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all deliverables meet the required quality standards.
- Implement project management best practices and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and meeting notes.
- Prepare and present project reports and status updates to stakeholders and senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, with a minimum of 5 years in managing technology projects.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Experience with project management software tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is a plus.
