As a Senior Digital Design Engineer within the Rigetti Control Systems team, you will develop the electronics that control and readout qubits in our quantum processor ICs.  This involves designing digital hardware employing FPGAs and high speed data converters with rigorous signal fidelity requirements. In this role, you will draw upon your extensive background and interdisciplinary experience to rapidly deploy cutting-edge digital solutions within our quantum computers.

About You

  • BS  in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant job experience
  • Expert in coding Verilog/VHDL modules for FPGAs
  • Previous experience developing requirements and analyzing digital architecture trades
  • Proficient at high speed digital PCB design
  • Proven hands-on approach to circuit prototyping and debugging
  • Successful experience with full life cycle product development and implementation
  • Extraordinary technical communication and documentation skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python
  • Previous experience in the use of high speed data converters
  • Working knowledge of RF microwave circuits including IF downconverters, upconverters, and PLLs
  • Knowledge of DSP and DDS
  • Familiarity with the Vivado tool chain
