Our internship will provide you with the opportunity to become familiar with a Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E). You'll participate in technically focused training, team meetings and work on projects and present your results. During your internship you will be supported by your manager who will ensure that you have a valuable learning experience.

As an Intern, you will be:

  • Receiving coaching and mentoring to enable you to complete assignments and projects to develop your learning and skillset
  • Completing internal projects to deliver customer outcomes and identify business improvements
  • Learning internal software to assist with the completion of projects and tasks
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and interns to interact and network with global business leaders
  • Applying Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures in all situations to ensure compliance is maintained
  • Pursuing your development through different best practices and projects inside the organization
  • Able the learn and develop your soft skills in a professional environment, preparing you for the market or for our Entry Level positions after your internship

To be successful in this role you Should:

  • Be currently enrolled in any bachelor’s degree and have at least 2 years left of school. 
  • Have maintained a GPA grade greater than or equal to 3.0 out of 4.0 or the equivalent in your country  
  • Be fluent in oral and written English  
  • Have the legal right to work without restrictions or have company sponsorship in the country you have applied  
  • Be prepared to enroll yourself with different activities and projects, being the owner of them and having an active voice to be part of the team and the company in a large scale
  • Have effective problem identification and solution skills. 
  • Have a client and process-oriented mindset. 
  • Have passion in using new technologies in a professional environment. 
  • Have experience using systems and tools such as Microsoft office package, Workday, Ticketing systems, Signature administrator systems. 

About the position 

Our team is responsible for providing support on HR lifecycle and benefits administration for our employees in LATAM. We foster a culture focused on employee experience excellence and continuous process improvement by providing “Best in Class” support and advise on simple and complex questions/requests from employees, leaders and/or HR partners. 

As a Human Resources Intern 

you will work within Regional Service Delivery Center Team and will be reporting to the Regional Service Delivery Leader LATAM. You will partner not only with your multi-cultural team but with other functions such as Total Rewards, Onboarding, Payroll or HR Partners across LATAM. 

Also, you will play an important role to improve and deliver projects using methodology as Project Management or Lean across the business in an efficient and timely manner ensuring compliance with company policy, procedures, and country legislation. 

Essential role responsibilities: 

  • Administer across LATAM the HR lifecycle processes and/or ensure the correct delivery of the employee’s benefits meeting within the deadlines. 
  • Driving increased productivity and compliance through process improvements, standardization and simplification within assigned area(s). 
  • Maintaining high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and quality to ensure compliance with relevant legal and Baker Hughes policy requirements and employee experience. 
  • Developing effective relationships with stakeholders through strong interpersonal skills and proactive communication.
  • Develop and improve projects associated in HR Service Delivery operation. 
  • Collaborate with the responsibility to keep business operation. 
  • Provide analytics & reporting. 
  • Develop in our IT tools digital solutions to optimize HR life-cycle process. 
  • Provide excellent customer experience management and insight’s delivery. 
  • Administrate internal communication as well as the diffusion of our way of work, our values and culture 
  • Promote “Best in Class” service while developing effective relationships and working cross functionally with internal teams and suppliers. 
  • Collaborate with engagement activities for employees.

Desired characteristics: 

  • Proficiency in Portuguese language.
  • Basic knowledge on programming. (apps) 
  • Ability to interact cross-functionally. 
  • Knowledge of the oil and gas industry or willingness to learn the oil and gas industry. 
  • Self-motivated.
