Position Summary:

Harman’s Lifestyle Audio Division is the global leader in the design and manufacture of Consumer and Automotive OEM Branded Audio products. The Lifestyle Audio Division is focused to meet consumer needs by combining premium audio technology with industry-first features for more seamless and personalized listening experiences in the home, on the go and for all everyday activities. The Division maintains headquarters in Stamford and Munich with with Development Centers in Farmington Hills, Michigan, and Shenzhen and Suzhou, China and subsidiaries in NA (Northridge, Salt Lake City, Palo Alto), Europe (Karlsbad, Stuttgart, Straubing, Munich, Cologne, Gothenburg, Birmingham, Paris, Amsterdam, Turin), Korea and Japan and additional resources in Mexico, Brazil, Hungary and India.


Product Owner is the interface between the stakeholders and the development team within CoC organization. They serve as the voice of the customer(s) and are responsible for defining the product vision in conjuction with stakeholders inputs and communicating that vision to the Devolopment Team for seamless execution. They embrace agile methodology to deliver customer oriented solutions and ensure successful handover of technology solutions for final product integration.   


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position does not have any direct or indirect reports. Expectation to drive a cross-functional team.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Own multiple projects concurrently
  • Create Product Vision and  Roadmap
  • Develop and maintain Product Backlog
  • Evalutate customer value and complexity of each features in the product backlog
  • Prioritize Product Backlog to maximize Business value
  • Be the clearing house for new ideas
  • Define resource & budget estimations
  • Serve as single point of contact for the stakeholders
  • Ensure delivery on schedule with hightest level of quality


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in engineering, informatics or similar
  • Previous PO experience or equivalent, i.e. product management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Drive to adresses issues in a proactive, solution-oriented manner


Preferred Qualifications & Desired Competencies:

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
  • 4+ years of experience in agile project management, preferably SCRUM
  • Project Management Certification (PMI, IPMA)
  • Technical knowledge of audio systems in Consumer electronics and/or Automotive domain


Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel 25%.
  • Willingness to relocate if necessary
