Nymi Biometric Authentication Solution Product Owner

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Owner to join our team to manage Nymi product, our biometric authentication solution and its integration within our key enterprise applications to enhance the end user experience for all manufacturing shopfloor workers and lab technicians.

As the Nymi Product Owner, you will be responsible for the overall vision, strategy, and execution of the Nymi product line within GSK. This role is designed for a strategic thinker with a strong background in managing complex projects using agile methodologies, who can seamlessly integrate cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development and deployment of Nymi product adhering to the highest standards of quality and compliance.

The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and resilience. This role demands excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.

Finally, A strong technology background is essential to effectively oversee the Nymi infrastructure and ensure seamless integration and operation.

Key responsibilities

Product Vision and Strategy:

  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for the Nymi product line.
  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform product development and strategy.

Backlog Management:

  • Write clear, actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure that the product backlog is prioritized based on business value, customer needs, and other relevant criteria.
  • Develop and manage KPIs to measure product success and drive data-driven decisions.
  • Provide clarification on requirements to the development team as needed during the sprint.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all Nymi product-related inquiries and communications.
  • Gather and incorporate feedback from customers and end-users to refine the product.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on product status, performance, and strategic direction.
  • Organize quarterly PI (Program Increment) planning sessions, ensuring all involved teams and stakeholders are aligned on priorities and goals for the next quarter.

Product Team Management:

  • Ensure timely and effective product releases.
  • Collaborate with the product team during sprint planning to select the highest priority items for the upcoming sprint.
  • Work closely with the product team to answer questions, provide guidance, and remove blockers.
  • Review and accept the completed work to ensure it meets the acceptance criteria and overall quality standards.
  • Ensure the Nymi technology stack is effectively managed and maintained.

Continuous Improvement and Compliance:

  • Monitor product performance and gather feedback to drive continuous improvement and optimization.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and resilience within the team.
  • Identify and address challenges proactively, ensuring a high standard of quality and compliance.
  • Ensure that the product meets all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Work with security experts to ensure the product adheres to best practices in security and data protection.
  • Ensure seamless integration with other systems and platforms as required.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management or a related role.
  • Demonstrate proven leadership capabilities to guide and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Agile and Scrum methodology including usage of project management software (e.g., Jira).
  • Ability to use data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to create informative and actionable reports.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts and services, particularly Azure.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Software Development, Software Engineering, Full Stack Development, Systems Architecture, Network Engineering, Cloud Architecture Experience working within the pharmaceutical industry, or in manufacturing or supply chain environments
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare sectors is a strong plus

Certifications:

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
  • ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) certification is a plus.
