OLP is seeking a highly competent and energetic teacher who loves a small, community family atmosphere where everyone is visible, valued and growth minded. Next year’s class is about 16 – 6th graders and 4 – 5th graders. They are ready for robust academics and a creative teacher who is well trained in Core Instructional Practices, CCSS standards, differentiated instruction and tapping into students’ learning styles and interests. We emphasize reading and literacy skills, have solid classroom libraries and a good central library. We use Envisions math, and Amplify science. Teachers are encouraged to access digital learning and communication tools. We just received very good WASC visit ratings and are a motivated team of educators committed to our vision of “Growing intelligent minds, compassionate hearts and courageous voices…that live and lead with integrity and faith.” Our momentum is fully focused and charged.
