OLP is seeking an energetic middle school ( 7th and 8th grade) math and science teacher. Our goal is have 70% of our students at, or above grade level with a challenging curriculum provided by an enthusiastic teacher who is very competent in these subject areas and can grown our students academically and inspire their curiosity, especially in science and inquiry based learning. Experience in core instructional practices, CCSS standards, lesson planning, STEM, and science fair events would be highly valued.

Requirements

• BA degree – preferably in math or science related field
• CA teaching credential
• 2+ years experience preferred
• Practicing Catholic preferred
• Highly skilled communication and problem solving skills and capacity to partner well with parents
• Strong skills in setting up routines and managing behavior expectations and student work ethic

Wage Range

The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
