Job Description

The Position

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager Turkey, the position is primarily responsible to monitor and enable compliant, continuous and timely supply to the market. In addition, the position is responsible for certain tasks that are typically beyond market/customer.

The position builds and maintains relationships with the contract manufacturers and with the relevant internal stakeholders such as Site Planning, Site Logistics, E2E Planning, Global Logistics, Finance and Quality.

The position acts as primary contact for E2E Planning. He/she takes care of demand forecast and order management, coordinates supply of product and related services and looks after inventory management. This is all done with the objective to reach supply availability, at optimal cost, ensuring the best possible supply chain performance in compliance with established guidelines and procedures.

The position acts as primary contact for the customs brokers. He/she coordinates all activities required for customs clearance in line with company Global Trade Compliance and customs requirements.

In addition, position, based on solid SCM process and system expertise, plays a role in activities that go beyond market/customer level, such as supply constraint resolution, data analysis, continuous improvement, projects and some training and coaching.

Responsibilities

Primary activities include, but are not limited to:

DEMAND:

  • Coordinating Market Demand Review meetings.
  • Ensuring timely submission of demand forecast in alignment with Business & Finance. Monitor forecast consumption.
  • Informing the E2E planning regarding significant demand events and developments.

CUSTOMS:

  • Coordinating inbound&outbound shipments and track in transit stock movement 
  • Coordinate import/export permit / license to meet local regulatory and custom requirement. 
  • Oversee import/export document retention and electronic document storage in line with company Global Trade Compliance and customs requirements. 

INVENTORY:

  • Monitoring inventory levels to ensure optimization of operations and to avoid stock out or write off.
  • Taking pro-active actions to avoid Inventory of Questionable Value (IQV) and discards.
  • Informs Finance of any potential write-off risks in order to make sure appropriate accrual is in place.
  • In case of IQV and discards, take appropriate steps according to (financial) guidelines.
  • For Organon owned inventory, ensures that inventory count is performed in accordance with the guidelines in Financial Policy #7 (FPOL7)
  • As a part of the Archer controls process where applicable perform an inventory reconciliation between the 3PL inventory and the inventory balance in the ERP system to ensure the accurate inventory balance per batch

REPORTING:

  • Generating, analyzing reports, metrics and KPI’s regarding demand, supply, master data and inventory.
  • Generates and distributes to key stakeholder a regular report on over stock, low stock and out of stock SKU’s.
  • Regular price updates in ERP or alternatively communicates approved prices to Demand Fulfilment contact for system update.

PROCESS, QUALITY & COMPLIANCE:

  • Conducting all activities in a compliant manner.
  • Providing audit support.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of own tasks for department.

Required Education, Experience and Skills

  • Preferably a bachelor’s degree or proven equivalent work experience in a related business area (Supply Chain, Customer Service, Project Management, Logistics, Planning, Procurement or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of Demand Planning and TR Customs regulations and related experience
  • Proactive, taking initiative and speaking up how own area operates.
  • Communication fluency in English, both verbal and in writing, at all levels. Presentation skills for smaller groups predominantly in own area.
  • Advanced understanding of SCO systems and process such as SAP; basic understanding of processes and systems in adjacent areas. 
  • Quantitative analysis expertise, datamining, analysis and reporting
  • Stakeholder management, teamwork and collaboration
  • Leadership Behaviors: Good understanding of these behaviors and ability to apply them in the team. Strong customer focus.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Good understanding of and ability to apply our inclusive behaviors.
  • Business and Finance acumen: Understand impact of own area's activities within SCM and impact on adjacent functional groups. Good understanding of financial supply chains and product cost.
  • Attention to details and accuracy, while keeping an eye on the bigger picture.
