Information Systems Security Manager, Senior

Key Role:

Provide support for a program, organization, system, or enclave’s information assurance program. Provide support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security standards and methodologies. Maintain operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure information systems security standards and procedures are established and followed. Assist with the management of security aspects of the information system and perform day-to-day security operations of the system. Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information. Perform vulnerability and assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation. Manage changes to the system and assess the security impact of those changes. Prepare and review documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs). Support security authorization activities in compliance Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with security tools, hardware or software security implementation, communication protocols, and Encryption techniques or tools
  • Experience with providing operational security guidance and information system validation using the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF) and local security policies for an application infrastructure
  • Experience with supporting system security and authorization processes in accordance with NIST 800 series controls
  • Experience with Authority to Operate package development
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • HS diploma or GED and 12+ years of experience with conducting or supporting cyber engineering projects and activities, Associate’s degree and 10+ years of experience with conducting or supporting cyber engineering projects and activities, Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience with conducting or supporting cyber engineering projects and activities, or Master’s degree and 6+ years of experience with conducting or supporting cyber engineering projects and activities
  • DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III Certification, including CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH Certification
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Cybersecurity Service Provider - Infrastructure Support Certification, including CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND within 30 days of hire

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Nessus Scanning
  • Experience with NMAP
  • Experience with Splunk, including Security Essentials
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
